Another potential exploit would be if C4 stayed active even after the soldier it was attached to died.
You could send in a MAX or an Infiltrator or any class, with a few bricks of C4 stuck to it. Then just have them rush into an enemy barricade shooting wildly at everything, wait until they are killed, then blow the C4. You wouldn't even have to worry about grief points. So I am really thinking that C4 will only be able to stick to enemy infantry/vehicles and neutral objects like walls/trees/rocks. |

Big problem with the entire thing is grief points, or putting them on a max in order for it to go die short range to detonate after seems like a ton of wasted effort especially if there is any chance you may just die before getting close enough.
Its possible when units die the c4 dies with it also. I doubt it will be any issue even if it works at all due to very low number of players being certed just to do this. |

Well, like with anything, the proof is in the beta, one way or the other.
As far as speculation goes, I do think it could easily become a problem if left completely unchecked, but it's not the hardest thing in the world to fix. Like I've said, just removing the ability to stick them to any friendly units at all would be an extremely easy fix if this ended up becoming a huge problem at any point. |

Its not so much maxes you have to worry about since they might be slow enough as to be easy to take out if they are charging a group of people.
Its fast vehicles like the buggy, or super heavy vehicles like the MBT that won't be destroyed by one brick of C4 that have potential to be annoying. In the case of the buggy, if friendlies attach C4 to you and detonate you then they should be getting grief points for it, and if you attach it to yourself then the only way you should be able to detonate is by getting out of the vehicle and using a remote trigger (probably getting shot beforehand), it should not blow just by virtue of the vehicle you're in being destroyed. In the case of the MBT, people should get grief points for doing heavy damage to friendly vehicles when it can be considered to be on purpose; though not sure how you'd distinguish that from an accidental rocket strike. I think it would be legitimate to attach C4 to a vehicle and retreat to a safe distance and blow it as a booby-trap though, so you should be able to attach to friendly (or maybe just your own) vehicles.
