f2p fake?

i only recently hears that there is going to be a sub model... for "premium features" anyone able to link what they mean by that?

depending on what premium features are defined as i'm starting to think this game might not be a true f2p game....

for instance i mean in ps1 there was a period where anyone could play free but they were locked at br 8... and the training missions in the vr (picking up weps and using them once) would net you br5 or so... that is NOT F2P imo because i don't consider 1-20 in wow to be f2p

Please do some research before you spout about this stuff. Normally I'm fine with people asking questions, but this is a non-issue. How many times have you heard "f2p, not p2w"

I mean literally in every single interview with Higby he said "this game will be free to play, not play to win, only thing you pay for are cosmetics or possibly early unlocks that you can unlock anyways in-game." Every single interview. Hell even in the latest TB videos he said it.

I don't think theres been any recent news on the F2P/Sub. They said they want to do something along the lines of League of Legends where the game is free and you get points for playing the game that can be used to unlock more things in game.

There is a cash shop but its for cosmetics and boosters for the in game points.

There is a difference between a trial account and F2P. F2P means you have access to ALL the levels and equipment for free just through playing.
A Trial account would limit you to a certain level.

If There is a sub it might be something like access to cosmetics or maybe an EXP boost. Kinda like instead of buying things from the cash shop individually you are paying for an ongoing bundle of sorts Similar to CoD Elite subscription.

it specifically says they plan a sub of "premium features" and if that is more than say br 8 or so i'll be pissed because a cash shop + a sub is unacceptable to me....

edit: yea if the sub is like a season pass for xbox games or an xp boost that is fine but i was wondering if anyone had any infor on what is meant by premium features....

Well if a cash shop and an optional subscription is unacceptable to you don't play. Vote with your wallet.

This game is F2P, you can't buy power, you can get everything in the game without spending a single dollar. You are not at an advantage just because you spent $100 over someone who has spent nothing.

There will be no discussion necessary, they mentioned a possble subscription model but they have stated as a fact that you will be able to access the entire games content for free by playing. This isn't a discussion cause the question has already been answered.

i agree with you guys and believe Matt and his statements.

Some of these rumors are popping up all over the net so I can see why the Op asked.

People are saying no way this game can be actual f2p without being p2w etc.

i don't believe that but I have read it numerous places.. people disceting apart soe and all.

There has been a lot of talk on the premium features. Developers last said they have no idea what those maybe, that shows this game is being made F2P first with a paying model second. Please do a search if you are interested in what has been said.
