It may seem like spam to you, but to your friend this is just one request, it's not like they know or see that you are recruiting 100 friends. Your friend is on Facebook, an app request from a friend is not something new.

The point of this is not to give your some reward for using the app, the point is to spread the word.

I know it's not in the spirit of things but as much as I want to help SOE, only a small minority of my RL friends and I already told them about it. In person.

FYi:
- I try to avoid FB at all costs, if possible
- I'd rather avoid the additional social stigma
- I want the gold beamer

Just bear in mind that if Facebook catches account spamming, they will nuke you from orbit. That doesn't sound like a big deal until you ever try and use Facebook again. They watch you like a hawk.

Implying that most of the people on fb that I "know" are interested in accepting anything or are interested in gaming to begin with. This is actually not the case vOv

I spammed all my friends for invites. Its the least I could do for all the Farmville stuff the spam me with asking for help. Worse case scenario is they ignore it. =/

I don't use Facebook either and I have no objection to the viral marketing apps and games that go on there... that is until they start interfering with non-FB things like games I play. Just like to voice my objection to this for what it's worth, because it's really no better than retailer exclusive content.

That's why I really hate this kind of stuff. I tell everyone I know in RL about PS2 and even tell about the people I meet online in other games about it.

Now should I really go spam people who do not play video games like my grand-ma ? I heard PS2 had fast gun action this time.

Sorry if I have to say it again but... I really hate it.

On the other hand, I understand I am not the target market for this kind of marketing. Creating a Twitter account for T-Ray (while I never use Twitter) was great but I like to stay (somewhat) anonymous. I'll stop there.

its funny, i just did most of teir 1/2 and then deleted all of the activity, and its still verified as having happened anyway.

useless viral marketing anyone?

edit: on the app page, my noscript addon is apparently blocking 103 script requests from domains from people I've never heard of. derp.
