Well, I was feeling ok until I read some of the posts that came after mine, so I couldn't take it anymore. I went ahead and used my PCGamer Beta key on top of my (10 month old) subscription.

That changed my status from "inactive" to "active" which makes me feel a little better.

I have a sneaky feeling that eventually Vets will be mailed their own beta keys - so I may have screwed myself. But at this point I'm feeling better. If another Beta key gets e-mailed to me because of my active account, then I'll just enter that one too!

I'd like to have given away my beta key to a buddy, but as a wise man once said "I gostta get mine befo you can get yos."

Why would vets get mailed beta keys when they can just flag our accounts...?

Is it possible that closed beta has already started?

Could be way off the mark but when ever I log into the PS2 forums and check different users some of them have posts/topics credited to their accounts.
But you (I) cant actually see those messages like I would expect to happen during a closed beta where only those participating have access.

Of course with an NDA it might be those people in the closed beta cant even acknowledge they are in one.

As I said I might be way off mark but it also could be possible.

Never posted this to cause angst in the community.
It was just a theory and if it was the beginnings of a closed beta then good luck and gratz to those that had been invited so far.
I have total faith in what ever the developers are doing to make this the best game for everyone.

Was posted maybe a week ago that Radar was posting topics and messages. I'm guess its just the Devs getting topics ready for closed beta.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't check all your links. Seems like most of those are NON dev people.... Who knows...

I think that might just be from them cleaning up the old forums. I had an account from 2003 - the one that was hacked and then banned - and now none of the posts from that account show up either.

I have an account from the old forums and it still shows up under the PS1 section.
These counts are for the new PS2 forum.

These are new forums that just opened up not from previous ones at all. Not a ps2 section on the planetside forums.

There probably are some people in right now, maybe media, maybe a small group of 100-200 that were in for e3 to help make the battles. More then just the offices. That would be my guess.
