I was always under the assumption that F2P just meant no monthly subscription but you still buy the game for £30 or so. Thats awesome, but i really dont see how they would make half as much money doing this. the station cash and items and stuff will bring in a fair bit but i think they deserve the money on purchase considerin what a bangin game its gona be?

I've read that games that went f2p brought in more revenue (and profit) than when they were p2p. Logically that means some people (a lot?) were paying more per month than the conventional subscription price.

I plan to buy a few of the camos. Just since I noticed in the streams that those people were actually harder to see.
I may buy a few boosts or unlocks. Dunno, kinda depends on cost and want at that point in time. Anyone know if we have to spend resources just to unlock the classes and vehicles? or just to get extra stuff for them? |

However it would not be hard to make classes require unlocking as well, and as much as that would drive me nuts, probably a good business move on SOE's part... I bought the engineer in tribes just for that reason. |

I have a pretty staunch no-real-money stance in the F2P games I've played like LoL, but since I've been a huge PS fan for years and really want to support the devs, I think I might spend a few bucks here and there to ensure their kids get a college education.
Besides, as a sniper Infil, I'll want some camos that will help me blend in with the background a bit more while the cloak is recharging. |
