Yeah, I'm with the folks who say remove sprint and implement a somewhat faster run mode in the vein of the original. 25%-50% faster than PS2 infantry sprint, perhaps. Should make it tolerable without trivializing transport vehicles.

Add a new leg upgrade slot for the MAXs.
Upgrade 1 - The 'slow' sprint, as seen in E3. Has faster reaction times and better twitch movement, but is of course slower. Upgrade 2 - The fast travel of PS1. Reacts slower, turns slower, but runs at 40 kph like PS1 MAXs did. |

I think fast max motions are far more realistic. The MAX's in PS, I could literally be outside the suit, and using a lever to turn it faster than the MAX can turn itself.
The MAX's in PS were very slow to turn, very slow to accelerate, and crippled in their rate of travel while firing. Glad to hear they are fixing all that.

This would only affect the performance while running, not while walking. Mainly it would just be OP as hell to have MAX units running at 40kph while still being able to turn on a dime. Inertia is a bitch to overcome. Since you're going fast, it'd take longer to make turns. Last edited by CutterJohn; 2012-06-13 at 05:22 PM. |

Ahh then I agree with that I thought you meant while in combat that would be the case, if anything the max need it turn buffed now to deal with Jetpack LA. |
