With tons of servers, and character stuck on specific server, this wont happen. BF3 could pull this out because you can go to any server anytime. In ps2 you would be only pissed that they made that dev hunt event (or dev usual play) on different server than you (and dont forget about poor EU as they would be probably left out).
In beta this seems possible, later on i doubt it.

Clearly it's important that we know that he'll not be listening to music while he is (one must assume!) hunting down the devs (presumably to tell them they are doing a great job, which will probably be a nice change of pace).
