I apologize if the had been mentioned already, but I am just curios how people felt abou this idea. What if the light assault had a side grade that allowed them to deploy one ladder from the top of a structure, or obstical. This way the light assault can use his ability to further help his squad. The ladder can be destroyed by damaging the top anchoring structor. Also The ladder would be slow for everyone the climb (exepct maxs cannot climb) leaving them volnerible and preserving the light assaults vertical advantage. This will however present an opertunity for light assaults to help the team if they are unchallanged.

A Router was a vehicle which, when deployed, would hand out a teleportation pad. You could then take this pad and deploy it up to X meters away from the Router. After deploying both Router and teleportation pad, anyone (friendly or enemy) could teleport instantly between the Router and pad.
Honestly, I would love to see ladders that LA could deploy (from the top down to the ground of course). But with only one per LA, and giving up something useful in their kit to compensate (maybe ammo pack, or sidearm if LA loses ammo pack). I would love to see a unified squad be able to breach a wall like this, instead of having LAs soloing around all the time. I loved jumping my VS Max over enemy walls in PS1, but it SUCKED not having any friendly support once you were up there... |

Ooo! Yeah! I think you could replace the LA's sidearm (maybe some primary ammo too) with a sort of harpoon gun that trails something (rope with knots?) behind it. It would have limited range, but there would be a kind of hook at the end that would catch on to the edge of the wall, roof, etc. and let people climb up. Obviously, it wouldn't be able to support MAXes, though. It would also have to last for a limited time, and have very limited ammo, perhaps not resuppliable from engineer resupply stations. It would also be able to easily be destroyed by enemies or careless teammates.
The only problem is that it might be hard to program, I don't know how those things go. |

A decent idea to give LA's some team options, much gratitude manifested and sent
People stating no, are you wanting LA's to be a solo class? As there is little for the group in them so far. Last edited by Karrade; 2012-07-06 at 03:16 PM. |

Heh it reminds me of the BF2 addon Special Forces. You had a grappling hook and it could only be removed from the top. You also had a Zip line. It was very fun and could open some new tactics so I vote yes even though I doubt we'll see it.
