They shouldn't wipe them, purely because at their higher ranks, they will get more items which could be bugged and these problems could be sorted sooner rather than later.

My curiosity stems from the fact that invites to the technical test seem to be completely random as opposed to how they have said they will be inviting people into closed beta.

As a side note, I do not care regardless of the answer... and no, I'm not upset that others are getting in to the technical test before me (a veteran). It would just be nice to have a solid answer from the Dev team.

Cheers.
They will be carried over. Do not question my answer.

It should. If they got into the tech test, there is no reason at all to not let them straight into closed beta.

Doesn't really matter either way does it, you are either in or not. If not play or do something else if you are in the mood, go explore life

But as we are only speaking about an illusion, as we have no way of telling.

I'd carry those that submitted bug reports and/or tested well/often, drop those that didn't - keep it practical. No I am not in the test, but those things are often considered from devs I have tested for before. - Of course people would have known that beforehand in this perfect illusion I am speaking about.

If they are carried to closed beta ..... the devs will want to test certain scenarios so it may well be that they arrange certain certs to be available to everyone.

For example they want to see a tank assault on a base ... they may want tank specs to above the vanilla to see the impact.

Never thought of it that way. Good point, I support this.
In so many MMOs, endgame/high level content is very buggy at launch. Why? Because less people are testing such content since it requires more beta time invested (at a beta testers level). Basically, wipes and resets hinder the proper testing of higher level content.
Another alternative is to make higher rank/deep cert perks to be available to all at a certain point in the beta.
