The 750w is probably a considerable amount of over kill.
I wouldn't say you've done anything stupid, though.

It never seems it's worth SLIing unless you're willing to spend $1000 on GPUs because unless you SLI the latest and greatest now, you're going to be beaten when the next gen comes out the next year.
For instance, I bought a 560TI 2GB for the computer I had built by Cyberpower with the idea of SLIing in the future but today I just pulled the trigger on The Galaxy GTX670 GC custom. It's times like this that make me wonder if it's even worth SLIing or Crossfiring at all. |

It depends on the time I guess. I was going to go with a 500W PSU, but they were only 10 dollars cheaper. The one I got was on special for 85 w/ free dvd burner drive. I would rather have the ability to later if it came down to it.
HOPEFULLY I can get all the parts this Friday so I can be up and running by the time the beta starts for us twitter key users |

Looks good! 2500K is still a great processor if you don't care for the features that IB brought on board. Only part you are missing out on really is the PCI-e 3.0 and the slower IPC should be made up with a better overclock.
I have that exact 7950. I got the core to 1150MHz and its a noticeable jump in any game I play. I was concerned that case didn't have proper air flow, but I was way off. Looks like a damn wind tunnel almost.

From what everyone has told me, the 2500k is the best processor for gaming. Plus, I was able to drive a few hours and pick up the processor with the extreme4 for 240 bucks total!
The case should definitely cool the system off well. I really hope I made the right choice with the 7950, since I kind of jumped the gun before the 660ti. Hopefully the overclocking ability is able to beat it. With a good overclock on the CPU and the GPU, I am hoping to run PS2 on high or ultra! Also, I am looking for a good monitor. Currently I have a 22 inch acer with a max resolution of 1600x800 Do you think this monitor will work well enough? It is cheap for a 24 inch, but there isn't much on reviews and such on the web http://www.walmart.com/ip/V7-LED236W...roduct+Reviews |
