Just for the sake of easier calculation and considering there are shorter distances between other points of the UK and the US:
use distance = 5000km
and
speed of light = 300000km/s.

Then light would travel the distance in 16,6667 ms.
Ergo a ping of 12ms is impossible without disproving the theory of relativity.

Europe uses commas instead of periods for decimals.

Except UK I think.

I remember APB had a funny bug where most of it's testers had this "black and white" bug where they could only really get black colour out of the colour pallette. It was cos the game was coded for period usage of decimals, thus when European language OSs tried to input commas, it didnt recognize the value and just gave you black.

It took them friggging ages to trace the problem lol.

A little over 1300 people are in the tech test now that started mid last month. Its beta by another name.

Pretty sure invites will go out Monday. Come to think of it, they said beta starts at 2 pm PST right? They might send out invites in the morning, even allow downloading, though that's asking for a lot really.

*If* I get in, I'll be downloading all night. 2pm PDT = 10pm UK time. Slightly more hopeful this time but expectations are tempered.

Boards are gonna go batshit crazy on Monday though in spite of Duke's threads.
