Tried to sign up for PS1 account to make sure I was an active vet. SOE wouldn't let me pay for the game even though my CC was good. I sent in a tech support ticket and get an autoreply saying they were busy.

4 days later I get an email from SOE saying that my account has been registered to the US minor & outlying islands, and that trying to pay with a card from anywhere else would be futile. Don't know why this is, as I'm from Chicago. Had to reply with an answer to the secret question, but I cant change my country an SOE rep has to. Dont know when that will be.

PS2 I love you why treat me like this?!?!

its pretty much standard account theft protection, wokrs the same with anything really, only customer service can change country of residence etc

Its unusual because how did I ever pay for PS1 with a mainland US card before?

Update: finally got it fixed. Hopefully I'll be in the next wave now.
