The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

It had been a long walk, but Sando had mae it back to his base with no further trouble. He arrived to see a nuclear halo in the sky. no mushroom cloud visible but definetely a nuke. Sando dashed to command operations on his base in Cyssor.
"Staff Sergeant Sando, reporting for duty, sir." "Good to have you back, Sando. if you noticed the glow in the sky, you note that we have a hell of a situation going on. at approximately 12:45 this morning, a Galaxy carrying a weapon known as Helios' Fury deployed a nuclear weapon over Esamir. the New Conglomerate lost over 2/3 of it's troops worldwide. the purpose of the invasion was to PREVENT deployment of Helios' Fury. now, both a reprisal raid by the Vanu and an oppurtunistic raid by the Terran forces is highly possible. the 1St Armored, the NCAF, and most of our troops were lost in the blast. there is currently a shortage of vehicles, and the warpgate to the NC sanctuary from Hossin is disabled. in short, this is the worst position we've been in since Eureka. Your wing suffered five casualties in their engagement with the CDL. including you. so we've been working on a little something while you were on the ground kicking Hamma's rear up and down the countryside. we have something we think you might an to see downstairs." The thing was beautiful. it was a brand new Falcon class fighter, and he had been given permission to modify it, as there were no Terran or Vanu forces for miles. he took out the stock engines and reconstructed them, changing them to output much more thrust for less energy. he modified the omega-lancer design to allow for less energy and a faster cooling time. he took out the guidance circuitry for the missile systems, and replaced it with an oxy-burner kit, allowing use of the advanced 'Oxy-afterburner' turbo boost. he modified the railgun to fire very accurately with a slow rate of fire. he kept the machineguns how they were. he stripped 70% of the armor, streamlined it, and named it the 'Peregrine' class Reaver. light, fast, capable of breaking the sound barrier with relative ease, but at the cost of durability. but who needs durability when you can outrun and outmaneuver a Surface-to-Air Missile? ------------------------------------ 'Peregrine' series supersonic Reaver S-11. Original Aircraft: Falcon Class Reaver Mk. II Armaments: Unguided Armor-piercing Rockets x30 Alpha-Lancer beam weapon Rail Driver system + Rails x 5 25mm Machine guns Top Speed: Supersonic without boost activated. Hull Stregnth: low Handling: varies on speed, overall fairly good. Special abilities: Oxy-Afterburn system: allows for temporary increase of speed in the area of 100-200 MPH. (no more new reavers will be made, as five is just way too complicated, and the peregrine will replace the falcon after the next battle.)
