Still no load out tho ...
apart from that I'm happy. The slower capture (it seems like) means that you can respond to hacks and go and resecure - equally if you want to take a base you need to be a bit more organised about it. CR5 chat should return for more empire coordination. |

So you still have to hover over a base/location on the map to see if enemy is progressing the tickets on it. There should be a simple hack flag above the base, just like in PS1.
EDIT: Someone answered this for me on the beta forums. The hexes flash when location is contested. I didn't know that. I thought they were flashing cause I hovered over them. I think I'd rather hack flags tbh. Last edited by Crator; 2012-11-11 at 11:29 AM. |

Also, why was the jump height reduced? So we can't jump over railings anymore? It already makes no sense that we struggle to jump waist-high railings in some places, now we will have a hard time doing it everywhere? It was weird they didn't do a vaulting mechanic as that's something a lot of FPS developers seem to be in love with lately, but going the extreme opposite way and preventing us from bypassing ridiculously low terrain features that a 10 year old could bypass is just crazy. the "mines stay after class change" is a good start!
please give more love to engineer! take a look at what a dedicated engineer could do in ps1 and please recreate at least some of it! mana turrets need to be open for empire and not locked to the engi who set them up! spitfires would be a nice addition as well and the amount of things an engineer can do in one deployment has to be increased a lot! oh and the classic infiltrator playstyle needs to be implemented as well! it was a big favorite playstyle for many vets and it is needed in the game. downloading the patch now and i am curious how the new mechanics play out! oh and thanks for facility benefits! i hope they are more relevant to the player strategy than the ressource system!
