From what I've learned so far, it looks like those turrets are manned only. In addition, I'm guessing there's alot of balancing to do in that area, and I suspect there'll be other limitations, such as how many turrets you can place per engineer, possibly a timer if it's powerful enough to warrant one (much like the MAX suit timers), etc. Who knows, they might even treat it like a vehicle or spitfire turret and have jammer 'nades stop them from firing for a while.

I'm a prospecting engineer! I love the idea of support when it's not a medic (I still love it). I really want to be the guy that my outfit congratulates for nailing some tanks with well placed mines and putting a turret into a good corner of a facility which can only be taken out with grenades. Perhaps what I like more is that the light assault is too mobile for me with not much armour and the heavy assault is too heavily armoured, I like how the engineer seems in between!

I hope we get some kind of auto spitfire turret again. Have they said all turrets are manned or are there auto ones as well? I thought on one of the cert pictures we've seen it said spitfire turret.

I just went back and looked at the most recent video again, and I think I might have caught a glance of a spitfire! It's harder to notice though, as the manned turret is the one with glowing shields, whereas the spitfire is grey, on a slightly higher level, and only on for a couple of seconds tops. To see it, try pausing the video at about 0:29 and looking at where the NC shots are coming from.

I heard somebody saying that turrets will be on auto-fire if they aren't manned, but they will not really be able to kill anything.

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had and new information regarding the engineer class? I love playing support classes/engineer in games, and was hoping for some new screenshots too. Do we have any updated pics or videos of the engineer and its deployables?

Got a question about MINES... Proximity and Tank.
How long to they stay active?
Once I put one down how long will it be there.
ALSO... What is the maximum number of mines can I have on the ground at one time.?
