Re: Good PS2 youtube channels?

I dont think there is any need to make PS2 more casual, a lot of gamers, especially PC gamers want more depth, complexity and less easymode.
And i know a lot of people in the battlefield community for example are disappointed about the casual direction the franchise is taking now. A lot of old battlefield vets are comming over to PS2 because of that.

The new MoH titels tried to be successful by being like cod and TOR tried to do it by being like WoW, both failed.
You just dont get players by being more like the game they allready play. You get them by offering them something different that another game cant give em.

I only partly agree with that.
He got sliced because of his unpopular plea (especially within PS1 vets) to make this game more casual and lone wolf friendly and I'm actually on his side on this one. Everybody wants to do some mindless shooting on his own now and then and thank God the devs understand this. Nobody should ever be forced to team up.

He also got axed because of his suggestion to cert into ammo supply. And while I tend to disagree because that suggestion does limit the use of engineers on the battlefield, the fact is that we already have a similar system in place for med kits which is not that different. And I see nobody complaining about that.

Some of his ideas even scare me a bit. There's already to few logistics in the game removing ammo makes it even worse.

Well, be prepared to become scared even more. Higby mentioned that he wanted to give Light Assault more use in this game by making this class more lonewolf friendly.

Personally, I'm fine if lone wolves can hold their own as long as it is not at the cost of the logistics role in this game.

Another vote for Rival Xfactor here. He can come across as arrogant at times but you've got to respect his skills on the battlefield, I'm really looking forward to his tutorial vids.

BTW: Are we going to get a launch trailer?
