Apparently they nerfed ranged slug damage based on the notes. I havent been sniping tsince the patch notes so I can say how bad it is.
But what they did do that I definitely experienced was add a large circular wave to the recoil animation of the existing semi-auto shotguns. Its particularly odd since the size of the animation varies with your scope power. With a lower power scope the size of the "recoil circle" is huge relative to the target - with a 4x scope the "recoil" stays the same size relative to your view but shrinks relative to the target. Anyway -I think its lame to add a weapon that more or less obsoletes existing weapons. Its even worse to nerf the existing weapons.

I love how most people come up with the reason why they nerfed slug range and seem to miss the fact that they were being used to snipe people at extreme range that a shotgun should never hit at..... nah couldn't be for that reason it makes sense

Are you people semi-illiterate?
Im not complaining about the damage thing. Im complaining about the recoil animation they added yesterday.

Thats part of their business model. Make new stuff op at first. When intorducing new stuff later make it op again and nerf the old stuff. Therefore everybody have to buy the new things to stay on the top.

What I first seen in teh NC trail of the new shotgun is it's spread. The Claw has the same if not better spread pattern than the Mauler. I run a Mauler because it's suppose to have the tightest spread (if descriptions are a thing to go off of), but here's a shotgun with more pellets but the same spread. In fact after looking up the spreadsheet stats it tells me that ALL shotguns have the exact same COF with only the Mauler (NC), Nova (VS), and Nighthawk (TR) to have any change at all. And that's for jump COF fire only (others have a COF 5, those 3 have a COF 2).
What the hell? Giving shotguns with 4 extra pellets the exact same COF as all others while only at the cost of rate of fire and a few spare shells is not right. It's a near perfect upgrade with no downsides. |
