So apparently the API can't deal with recovered characters.

Like the OP says. had a character from game start I had deleted awhile back, but wanted to see if it was recoverable. Not sure if I'm actually gonna use it, but I was curious since they said they will be doing character transfers soon, so I'll feel less guilty about having 2 empires. So as it turned out, CSRs were able to recover my character, the only problem is the API considers it as having only existed since today. This means the stats are.... Well look.

Yes, since it has a couple months worth of gaming tied to it, but the recovered character doesn't, I now have a whopping score per minuite of 197 THOUSAND. (Note this number will of course change whenever I play a bit more, but at the time of the OP it was the case)

So bascially just wanted to let you know that SOE can recover characters, but don't ever expect your stats to be ok ever again.

Speaking to CSRs, it seems the issue is that when a character is deleted, although the name and rank is kept, all leaderboard stats are flushed out. Thankfully they said that a recovery was performed IS kept on record, so at least the stats won't flag the cheat detection.

Did you get a refund in certs of the items you lost due to the deletion or did they recover all of that as well?

Got the certs I had earned on the character, and all my SC bought items were there as well. Missing the certs from medals and such, but since this was before ribbons existed, not that big a deal. In effect it gave me a lvl 24 character with none of tis certs spent, so that was really nice. Plus it seems the Alpha Squad bonus gets its full 6 months starting from date of recovery.

All in all not a bad way to get an Alt. Now if only I could remember what character I started on Nov 20th. Know it was NC, so probably not worth it
