The truth is, it is impossible to make all weapon be useful in all situations.
The fracture is in fact what we are asking for the pounder since the beta, lower gravity with more projectile speed.
But instead of doing what we wanted with it, they nerfed it and all other max av, so they could release a better version of it, having the features everyone one was asking since beta!
It is the way free to play works, I said here several times that free to play games are much more expensive to play then premium ones!
But I really don't think there are other mmofps out there, and we are planetside fans, I still didn't have the luck to get the engineer av turret or the skyguard on sale, so I could buy then, so I live without then, it is really frustrated to see lots of your outfit members using dual fractures since day one, but you are low on SC and refuse to pay full price on then, so when you will finally get it, they will release a better version of it on the next GU.

the developers seems schitzophrenic, like there are opposing forces at work at SOE. its always one step forward one step back.

They lowered the cost of the Comet and Falcon at the same time, I don't think it's an indication that they consider these weapons gimped - just that they're older and less used and so they're discounting them to encourage more usage.

They lowered the cost of quite a few weapons, notably the older shotguns as well as one of the AI MAX options (Cosmos for VS). I've posted a longer list of discounted weapons here:

Well the price change was predicted here long ago, when I said there no point of having 5 shotguns having the same price, if everyone just uses the pump action ones.
I notice that the mutilator is with a lower price, that nobody used. And still, no one will ever use.
But also, it is good to notice that everyone uses the halbert on the harasser, and the price was changed from 250 to 700 certs, something no one was expecting!

Before fractures, thats how I used the pounder. A long range grenade launcher, if enemys were 100+meters away that I couldnt hit with the chainguns id lob nades at them.

I honestly doubt they will waste time on the pounders, they will just say 'buy the fractures'
