Just saw these changes, this may change my mind back to it being useful! Like seeing the CoF reduction, may make it more viable. Semi-auto is fine, as IMO it was rough to use as automatic unless it was against infantry right up against you. Inner Blast Damage increase I guess is good? Seems high? Not sure I know exactly what this damage is, as I thought the direct hit damage was only 450ish? Does this mean direct hit was increased as well?

Perhaps the Hotfix changes later today will be to your liking then:

Saron HRB
•COF Max reduced from 6 to 2 (recovery rate changed from 12 to 4)
•Changed to semi-automatic fire instead of full auto
•Inner Blast damage increased from 350 to 850.

Looks like they've reduced the Bloom in exchange for slowing its recovery, as well as making it Semi-auto so you don't accidentally burst it while sniping.

Yeah, these patch notes are a little confusing - I'm assuming they've reduced the RoF when switching it from full-auto to semi-auto and so increased the damage across the board to keep the DoT the same?

Would be good to see some clarification on this, but sounds good in theory.

Well you can have semi-auto with the same fire-rate-limit as before. Just have to click quickly.

If that damage increase is right... wtf?
They took it from what, 1500 a hit with single shot, to 350(x6 - 2100 total) a hit when changed to a 6 round magazine(bad CoF), and now to 850(x6 - 5100????) a hit with a 6 round magazine(better CoF)?

I hope this is some sort of typo ? Otherwise they just made the Saron the best gun in the game? :P

Well, the splash won't hurt vehicles, right (otherwise, serious ROFLOLS)?...but holy hell, yeah what a beast infantry killer. You'll two tap them with splash.
That'll give 'em something to complain about.

Maybe they're doing Vanu buffs so we get some 4th empire converts and pops aren't quite as fucked?
