With the release of the Lattice on Indar I have been seeing alot of bigger fights happening all across the continent. Which is good because that is what it was intended to do. Although I am still seeing zergs avoid each other in the rush lanes. For example: TR had the NC at the warpgate, but at the same time NC had a zerg at the TR Mao Techplant all the way on the other side of the continent.
How do you justify this? It just doesnt make sense. Does anything happen if you get warpgated through a rush lane? Here is my idea to resolve this and make a more defined front line. As more continents are introduced I would HOPE that the warpgates get switched to "Broadcast Warpgates" these warpgates would work the same way as PS1. Whatever adjacent territory you control will be your link to the next continent. Now if your Broadcast Warpgate gets an adjacent territory capped by an opposing faction then a timer will start for your faction to try and take it back. If you fail to take back that territory before the timer runs out the bases your faction controls on that continent will flip to neutral. The more territories connected to the warpgate that are taken over the quicker the timer runs out. This will make sure that zergs will make their frontlines more defined and not pass each other up in the rush lanes. Just an idea in my head any feedback positive or negative is fine |

I'm actually kinda dissapointed in lattice implementation so far. It's made it even harder to be a small outfit. I'm really hoping more continents and cont locking will help. I guess we find out in July when Hossin is due to go in and then later with Searhus. I can't believe I'm saying this but I think the "dead space" between bases in PS1 was actually a good thing. Small outfits could do a lot with that space when you actually had to push and advance to get to the next base.
Zergs will also always miss eachother. Happened in PS1, esp on Cyssor. Probably no way to fix that other than having commanders who can manage to get players to change locations. |

new continents should be nr.1 priority.
and when we have got at least 5 conts, the footholds need to move to spaceships or whatever and the warpgates need to get real warpgate functionality. one homecont for every faction with one hardcoded faction warpgate, all other gates being broadcast gates. and like wg rotation is now, rotate the homeconts every update to avoid one faction crying about having the unfun continent. indar should be no homecont, but always contested. this way, actual continentlocks would be possible. but like i said, 5 continents are needed the least! the more the better.
