Official information on the so called: open beta

We are NOT in Open Beta yet.

We will not be in Open Beta for a couple weeks yet.

Acceptance emails into Open Beta were sent to confirm shipping addresses so that we don't have to waste money sending bogus CDs to fake addresses.

The NDA has NOT been lifted. This is still a "black box" and there is NO slack in our enforcement of the NDA at this time.

Those that got an "Open Beta" acceptance email are not yet in the beta.

CDs will be sent internationally. We're accepting people from Canada and Europe for the Open Beta.

The CD's will be sent to you before the beta begins, with such a schedule that you should comfortably receive the disks before the test starts.

They have/are fixing a clerical error that allows those accepted into the Open Beta to access the Exclusive Beta forums.

Open Beta folks will have access to those forums once Open Beta officially begins.

Beta is free

CDs will be sent internationally. We're accepting people from Canada and Europe for the Open Beta.

We are no longer accepting people into Exclusive Beta. We have 11,000 people in Exclusive Beta now. No additional influxes will occur until Open Beta begins.

Beta will cease a couple weeks before the game hits the shelves.

The retail copy will be different than the beta copy and the two will not be compatible with each other.

Therefore you will have to purchase the game if you wish to continue to play after Beta.

They have not finished sending all emails for Open Beta acceptance.

We haven't finished sending emails. We have another 4000 or so to send later.

I would think we could say that we got one because the NDA doens't apply to open beta (I THINK) and we can't give any important info out other than those who got a chance to read the whole site while we could get in ... and those people might want to keep their mouths SHHHED lol .... but you know i'm not gonna say if i actually got in or not (lol as if it's hard to tell)

It's good to see that information again Lightbulb, but I doubt it will silence all the threads/posts regarding Open Beta.

In answer to that i would point out the url at the bottom of my post. Its from the official forums. Its because it appears that most people here don't visit the official boards that i posted it all here. Alot of the questions asked are already answered, you just need to know where to look.

Also i thought it would be helpful to have it all in one consise post, rather than the 100+ thread from which it was compiled. Hope it was helpful to some people...
