more small patches...

When I logged on last night there was a small patch installed, around 41mb. And again this morning.

Does anyone know what these "little" patches are for? There are no mention of them on the official forums...

It's the NSA updating the game's software to scan your retina every time you play. They have to update it regularly to keep up with the ebb and flow of video game terrorists.

Its probably Higby's "more frequent, smaller" patches he announced last week.

"One final note, the first couple of these weekly updates are going to be a bit smaller than what you can expect to see later on, as we're still shaking off the holiday cobwebs and getting used to the new development processes."

I would have thought "they" would have at least given us a warning and an idea of what the patch is for. I would even be happy if they simply said something like, "patch to fix minor issues," or whatever.

Thing is, even these smaller patches can take me hald an hour to download on my slow internet connection and can sometimes mean that I am not able to log in for my certs in the morning.

The weekly patches I can plan for, it's the in between ones that can catch me out...

I got these small patches, now my game has started crashing after about 10 to 15 minutes. I swear Ive never crashed, had no problems from my house in virginia, now all of a sudden im crashing like crazy. WTF SOE.

My game has crashed twice now since I started noticing the little patches. Both times I was just in the middle of combat and it froze up and force closed to desktop leaving me saying.. WTF!? this isn't BF4! Why SOE? This is why I quit BF4 LOL.

I've crashed a couple of times too since the recent updates, but not so much as to be driving me nuts.

One thing I have noticed though is, after about somewhere between thirty and sixty minutes I will no longer be hitting my targets.

At first, being a sniper, I simply put it down to me being wide of the mark. But when I start missing the closer targets, less that fifty metres, not even getting body shots, I start to question that. The only way to fix this is to completely restart the game.

This was driving me nuts when I first came back to Planetside 2. I haven't experienced it in the last couple of days, but totally know what you are talking about. I went from able to get kills to getting killed and knowing I dumped half a mag into someone that should have killed them only for them to turn around and kill me. After a couple moments like that I tried to dump a mag into a friendly and they didn't take any damage even though they appeared to flinch on my screen, the bullets looked like they were hitting, but I wasn't getting hit markers.

It seemed completely random... like maybe I hit respawn too fast or something and it threw off my sync with the server or something. Sucks to have to log completely out to fix the issues only to have it come back again..
