Does the PlanetSide 1 website still exist?

Can't find it anywhere... I know it stopped getting updated a long time ago but there was a lot of stuff on there that I'd like to see, for nostalgia's sake.

Yeah I got to it from WBM too, but the problem is it doesn't provide the full functionality of the site. Most links go nowhere, etc. I was wondering if SOE officially shut the site down.

Looks like they did. Planetside.com redirects to the PS2 site now.

The fact that the website no longer exists makes the decision to keep PS1 going even more confusing, IMO. SOE is shutting down four games that almost certainly had more players than PS1 did/does, and given that PS1 doesn't even have a website anymore, it seems like they are just too lazy to actually shut the server off. I'm guessing it will get shut down by the end of the year.

Hmm, don't know why they would announce it going F2P and already have plans to shut it down. Honestly they will probably see how F2P goes and then determine if it should be shut down or not.

Perhaps website was running on old software that needed security updates but the website wasn't compatible and had to be fixed. But they didn't have the resources to do that so they just shut it down.

I don't know, but can someone tell me if anyone is playing since they've announced the free to play for April 2? If so, how many are playing, especially at prime time.
