Obviously the infil has been their lowest priority.
I don't think this is the case, it's just the most difficult to fix.

Ya' know, I really dunno' about what Madcow said. My brother, who's played an Inf for quite a while, had an absolute field day yesterday against the NC. All he had to do was crouch-walk up a ridge, then pop about 10 Pheonix/Bolt Driver people with his Knife.

It's weird....I keep hearing people talking about infiltrators being way too visible, but I've been lucky enough to not experience this. I was playing yesterday and I didn't die any more than I usually would have pre-patch. I even asked some of my outfit members if I was more visible than I should be and they all said no.

Weird...

Maybe the patch has some unexpected side effects for inflit when viewed by some people with a certain graphic card? or something like that?

theres alot of issues like that. some graphics cards allow you to disable transparency, which makes infils completely invisible, also newly spawned players can see infiltrators. I dont know if they fixed either of them yet.

Again, it's not just my experience. People actually went out of their way after killing me to tell me I was impossible to miss. That's a bug, it's not just a one off thing. Getting sniped from 200 plus yards, each time while crouch walking, with a sniper telling you that you're basically a glowing target. Fun.

Yep

I unfortunately have to concur with Madcow on the visibility issue. I'm a TR inf and I have experienced all of these:
* I can spot nme infs much better.
* I have been sniped while running out in the clear. This happened twice in a two day period, while it happened maybe once every two months prior to the patch. I didnt consider a visibility issue until Madcow mentioned it, but now it makes sense.
* The most blatant...I snuck into an interlink base with sensor shield on (WooHoo!). I crouched against a wall to let stamina recharge, with sensor shield still active. A NC grunt comes out of the main door across the CY and starts for the main gate. Then he stops, pulls out is weapon and smokes me. Whaaa?!? I would normally assume he checked DL and the "no nametag bug" made me miss the DL icon. But I could see his name the whole time...no DL! So I asked him about it. He did not have DL, but he could see me easily. His quote was "there was a red glow around your head".

The devs giveth, and the devs taketh away. So now I can actually operate in an interlink SOI, but I'm a fucking nuclear glow everywhere on the map. Terrific.

I'm moving over to City of Heroes for a couple of months anyway. I suspect CoH wont have the long term fun of PS. Maybe SOE will get the infs back under control before I return...

hawkeye you piece of shit, people should be able to do what they want to in a game like this without being gimped because of crappy coding, nobody is going to listen to a ***-ass child like yourself who probably has never had a tactical thought beyond "oh if I get surgile+a jackhammer+jump around I will be good" you have obviously never played infil in your life, and probably never will, you lack the proper skill and have no understanding of what it means to be CAREFULL, you are one of those guys who has had the same weapons, and armor since BETA, you are just another idiot who is content to die endlesslly in zerg after zerg, racking up pointless kills with his jackhammer being a mindless grunt in an even more mindless rush of newbs.

so STFU

Again, shoddy and unacceptable. Par for the course for their infil 'fixes'.

Least he's admitted there's a problem, I've known dev teams deny all knowledge until indisputable evidence was shoved down their throats repeatedly.

True, but they had little choice especially with the pictures that were being posted on the OF. Again, these items pop up because they overextend themselves. They announce what they're fixing, but then they just 'happen' to make infiltrators more visible during every single action (including crouch walking) that they might be doing. Did they ever let us know this was happening? No, they're just incapable of leaving the working items alone. Instead they have to keep massaging things, keep tweaking them until they do break them. It's a horrible way to do business, but it's the way they've chosen.
