Just an fyi, I took the hardware survey quite a while before I ever got an email to take it. Sometimes the emails go out slower than the actual features get activated.

It's worth attempting to download the client right now, even without the e-mail. If you get the "download now" button, obviously click it, and treat PS2 like the Fight Club from that point on. NDA's should be followed like a Terran soldier is holding a repeater to your head.
