there are tons of in-game footage being posted by the damn hackers on You Tube,this shit is ridiculous.

I am sorry but SOE has their heads stuck up their collective asses,remember all the threads here where ppl were telling them that hackers would be out of control and they said it wouldn't be a problem?

well guess what, SOE was wrong AGAIN

they are all over the SOE forums deleting threads and posts about all this,which I guess is their answer to the hacking epidemic,just act like it isn't happening

I had a guild mate who has been realy enjoying the game log off in disgust because hes seen multiple hackers over the last couple of days now.

This is going to bite SOE in the ass if they dont get on top of it and make public announcements after doing some mass bans.

Smedley tweeted that they had people who's job it was to ban hackers and that they were banning them as they found them.

I tweeted him back, nice SOE propaganda. But it's bullshit.

Of the people I reported, not a single one has been banned yet. Even the most blatant one's. Going on a week now since I first started reporting.

Saw some of the videos, certainly proof enough, it really ruins the game

If their only countermeasure are GM's, then it will be a losing battle as they'll never be able to keep up.

There needs to be more deterrence, something that automatically scans, detects, whatever. At the very least it may deter some, which is better than trying to remove these people one person at a time.

If you see an ally hacking, team kill him. After a while he might give up. Tell everyone to do the same. Because, in the end he's costing you xp by hogging kills

People I reported days ago! There are even alot of TR losers who are speedhacking and aimbotting I am ashamed to say. Goto any large battle and just watch Hamma you will see some ridiculous things and im not talking about all the warping lag. Just keep your head low because aimbots usually aim there

im just wondering how you can tell people are aim botting and arent just a really good shot, i mean hell i have nailed head shots on people from pretty far away and got tells saying i was hacking....but thats just my personal experienced i havent seen anyone really hacking...

It´s really a f u c k i n g JOKE that there is no GameMaster online on the Server who can quickly investigate in certain situations.

In any other MMO there are GMs who are watching the server.
There needs to be a /gm *text* command to quickly contact a Gamemaster.

While I've suspected many people of hacking, I've only done the /report a few times when I was absolutely sure.

One obvious sign is the 'snap' that happens when an aimbotter switches targets that are close together. The back'n'forth is very obvious.

I also try to use sound to give an idea of the number of bullets fired. When I see some guy at render distance with a gauss saw go -thug-thug-thug-dead I know I just took three headshots from an aimbotter.

Here is what I want from SOE: headshot statistics on death. I want to know when someone (non-sniper) got 100% headshots so they can be reported. Even point blank I don't get 100% headshots on full auto. This won't stop aimbots, but maybe it will change the aimbot curve to focus on bodyshots instead to avoid detection. It's not a solution, but it helps level the field a tiny bit.

I really hope SOE announces a ban wave very soon. The community really needs some reassurance that something is being done.

I'm too n00b to tell if I've been aimbotted or just shot by someone I never even registered (again) but seeing the various footage has left me questioning things. Which is sad - in the past when I've been headshotted several times in a row by a sniper whose position I couldn't pin down, I was impressed with his skill. Now....I'm not so sure.

That's disappointing.

That wont help.

Im pretty sure SOE figured out something is off. Right now the only thing that would help is if something changes, or if they post up that stuff is about to change.

I have yet to see a hacker myself, some friends of mine have and reported them.

This is nothing new and an expected progression of any new game.....people will hack/cheat and get caught and ended. Just because it does not happen as fast as we like it does not mean it's not happening.
