Proxy/Scout Radar doesn't pickup a infiltrator if he's stealthed.
A question I have for this is if I hack a enemy MBT do I keep whatever loadout that player has on the MBT or does Nanites automatically switch it to my factions MBT loadout? TR Saron? VS Vulcan? |

If my HUD shows vehicle damage, occupancy, de-rez timer, turret damage hits, and turret directions, then by all means it should notify me if my vehicle is being hacked.
Also to further enhance the infiltrator, how about make them the only ones that can overload a generator. How is it fair to facility owners/defenders that 5 attacker classes can overload a generator, yet only one defender class can repair it? (engineer). Generators should be a infiltrator vs. engineer war along with their escorts. Enhancing the infiltrator in this way would boost the usefulness of the class more, and tweak facility defense in a meaningful way. We need more meaningful defense in our facilities, and this tweak would be positive. And remember PS1 engineers had a portable detector they could lay down against cloakers? This ability makes more sense with sundy/engineer drivers having to protect their vehicles, and protecting generators too. Last edited by Timithos; 2013-11-13 at 02:38 PM. |

But, perhaps getting a little ahead of ourselves, Higby hasn't opined on this topic as yet. |

So long as its only with empty vehicles and excluding deployed sunderers then i'm fine with it. It would make no sense if you could get magically kicked out of a tank.
And maybe add the ability to temporarily immobilize occupied vehicles. |

C4 is not instant lol. Unless you're dropping it from above (a roof, or in the air as a LA), the C4 drop animation is cumbersomely slow and there is a lag between when you click the detonator and when your character actually performs the animation.
It's not that hard to avoid C4'ing Light Assaults and others when you're in a tank, due to 3rd person view and radar. The problem is that the vast majority of players have tunnel vision and spend too much time in 1st person view lobbing shells at bases to pay attention to their surroundings. |

just reskin the motion detector dart gun, give it a beam when you hold down the left mouse button, and replace the "press e to hack" with "use hack tool to hack" edit: and that new cloak type that only allows you to carry a pistol.... maybe it also allows you to hack while cloaked as well? More explanation regarding Camo's, according to Higby:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/1qj2ij/bait_and_switch_a_discussion_of_changing_cosmetics/cddrt04 Sound like the upgrade they did on textures is multifaceted. It allows for empire base colors while also apparently providing an option to dual-layer the camos, which apparently is why they look so ugly atm. So there'll potentially be two camo slots coming up, allowing you to further stylize the vehicle (also a way for them to get some more SC spent, I imagine). As for vehicle hacking, any reason why it can't work the same as PS1? Seemed to work out pretty well to me... |
