Problem I have related to that is from the videos I've seen, I never, ever, ever had a clue who to shoot, who is a friendly, and who isn't, unless a name popped over their head.
That may or may not be entirely related to camo options, but there. Maybe it feels different in game, but it just bothered me really bad. The worst thing I've ever had to deal with in a shooter, is not ever knowing if what I'm aiming at is an enemy or a foe unless I'm right in his face. So I'm not thrilled with side-camo options (probably cash only to top it off) making this worse. |

Does it matter if you think its stupid plenty of poeple think that the TF2 hats are stupid but they fund the game. My only posible problem withe the camo is what it could mean for poeples computers if to many diffent cammos get together in one area having to render all the diffent custimization. As for some looking good and some being terable hopfully the reson behind that is that they are trying to resever some of the good stuff for outfits

Once a certain group of tough killers wear a certain cammo,
that cammo will have a psychological effect to create fear. Such that a moderate killer wearing such a cammo would be considered an elite killer and be treated like that. Similary if a large group of players all wearing the same cammo would appear, it would enhance the image of organization and threat. For example, if a very dangerous man would wear a clown suit (and call him self the Joker) the appearance of several clowns may cause panic within the ranks. 1. eSport isn't a genre. It's a scene that a game can be a part of when it is competitive with spectators enjoying the gameplay of others. The idea that you wouldn't want a professional player to give feedback on a game is ludicrous.
2. Yes it might be difficult to identify enemy. But friendlies all have names over their heads. Enemies and friendlies also have very different silhouettes. It might take some time but you'll problem learn enemy identification soon enough. And if you don't, then just shoot anyone who doesn't have a name over their heads. Looking at the map will also be helpful. See a friendly moving up and around the corner on your mini-map? Might not want to shoot the guy you're about to chest bump into. |

Woah, déjà vu. Some people hate the camos and some like them, can't we just leave it at that? We're clearly not going to reach an agreement on this one.
edit: doh, i shouldn't have left the window open while i took a nap, or at least looked at the time stamp before bumping it. Last edited by Dagron; 2012-07-19 at 08:12 PM. |
