I've been watching videos and it looks like it will be hard on the eyes trying to identify targets. Wouldn't there be allot of friendly fire.
I get that WOW battleground feel when watching the videos, where everyone looks a motley collection of whatevers. Looking at the video, that camo doesn't give me the feeling of being in a faction, being part of a team. And red, purple, and yellow-blue just looks cooler than desert yellow. |

FF would hopefully be remedied by them changing friendly names to be green as opposed to the white/nothing above their heads atm.

Not too worried about friendly fire as the result of camo. All the empires vehicles and soldier models have very distinct silhouettes. One thing I find weird is how a camo pattern completely embellishes your factions primary colors. I think the camo pattern should still have the majority of your empires primary colors, instead of just being swamped with green camouflage.

How can standard camo's "suck"?
OP: Faction pride/faction colours? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...VnLrgQ#t=1453s See how the classical TR colour remains? Yeah. If you can't spot an NC from an TR by this... well, it's not the camos fault. Last edited by Winfernal; 2012-07-19 at 03:09 AM. |

Meh.. If you don't like them, don't use them. The crazy camo patterns are there because some people will like them and will want to buy them. It'd be pretty dumb of SOE not to have them, when it's stuff like that they'll be making money off of. Even if most don't like them, it's hardly a deal breaker for you.... so suck it up and deal with it.

Yes, this will be crucial to gameplay at certain points, however the nights get REALLY dark in PS2 and you wont be seeing much without the headlight. Doesnt even have to be pitch black to miss that rock in front of you and crash into it without the headlights.
