Allow me to stop you right there. Think about what you just wrote.
You have been watching alpha footage. I really shouldn't have to go on, but I will. First of all, the alpha footage you have seen has never involved more than about a hundred players. Secondly, everything, everything you have seen so far is subject to change. It will change, a lot and often, during the beta which hasn't started yet. Do I need to continue? |

Try it out in the beta. But implent a system if your teammate is under fire you can't spawn on him.
With the size of the maps i think you need some type of spawn system to spawn not on a base if you want a semi fast gameplay. Maybe some cert your squad could have the ability to be dropped from like a drop ship Last edited by james; 2012-07-19 at 10:34 AM. |

in a limited drop pod capacity like once every 10 min max i think it will be ok. it will still cause people not to pop up too soon and get the bf suck experience. ams are gone so people will have to use more tactics imo with a long ss timer.

I like the idea of squad spawning as placeable equipment, or some sort of special ability that spawns all dead squadmates off of the squad leader. However I do not like the implementation in BF3 where you can spawn off of anybody at any time or even BF2's where you can spawn off of your squad leader at any time. This diminishes the value of hard spawn points and transport vehicles which both would hurt teamwork.
I think it can be done, but squad spawning shouldn't be the primary respawn method. I like the idea of it being an ability for a squad leader to cast with a 10 minute cooldown. Last edited by wasdie; 2012-07-19 at 01:21 PM. |
