The "3 year plan" is a great idea. In fact, it could be the reason this game is the most epic of all time.

But again, that requires actually listening, and doing. 2 points of weakness in SOE's leader.

If they confirm this and they are allowing pre-sales, then they have to have a damn near finished product, maybe not finished.. but damn near.. and from a couple of the screenshots i seen, the game is looking frailing gorgeous.

They had pre-orders for DNF 10 years ago...

Actually he didn't. He was vague and said "outfits system". This was in the context of a large outfit's need to do multiple specializations. The word "alliances" never appeared.

He was asked specifically about outfit alliances and essentially said, "yup stay tuned you'll like it".

I think I'm going to hold off on pre-ordering just for now until I hear some sort of official announcement, but I have my credit card in hand, ready to pull the trigger.

When I do order it, and I suggest everyone here should do the same, I'll be using the link to Amazon through this site here. It's the least we can do considering what PSU does for us.

No where did smed say beta would be released in march, at all.

Yes I just quoted that, and it does not mention alliances. It was in the context of large outfits having to splinter and form alliances due to the specializations of the outfit. So his response was to that concern that they have a plan to address it.

Maybe alliances address it, maybe not - nothing was confirmed on alliances from that specific quote, but it is something I'd really like to know more on, so if he confirmed it somewhere I'd like to go research that topic.

There has been no release date, and no beta date. No point in arguing known fact.
