Faction: Depends on the outfit.
Required Age: 18+
Maturity: I have no tolerance for children, physical or mental. The same goes for arrogant fools who like to talk down to everyone around them.
Professional: I don't expect military-grade dicipline. I just want a group that actually wants to work together, and not scatter when it hits the fan.
Available Role: Dropship and fighter pilot mostly. Ground vehicles as secondary and infantry when necessary. I also enjoy a tactician / strategist role when possible.

A little history of The X



The deadly gaming organization now known as Outfit X (X), was formed in 1999. Originally started playing the FPS known as Starsiege:Tribes where we competed in ladder style tournaments. Over the years, the X has left a mark in many online team based games and have struck fear in the hearts of many gamers. Some of the games that the X has competed in are:

When Planetside was released in 2003, the X once again was able to show the power of teamwork and showed the Planetside community how deadly Squad X could really be. In Planetside, Squad X , who were dedicated warriors of the New Conglomerate(a faction in Planetside)was known as one of the most organized well respected outfits to ever play the game. By the end of 2004, Squad X had a roster of over 200+ members that would play 24 hours a day, with ferocious X team leaders and X members from across the globe who were executing a variety of missions from organizing armor/air columns to special operations. After many dedicated years to Planetside, the X has been waiting for a sequel to Planetside, and now, in 2012 it is here. Planetside 2. Fully dedicated to the Harvest Gold and Navy Blue of the New Conglomerate, we are ready to deploy once again.

Recruitment Requirements and X Law

In order to join Outfit X, we do require a few things from our new and seasoned people.

1. There is no age limit but there is a maturity level minimum. We ask that all of our members act respectful to each other both on the field and in voice chat.

2. Voice communication is REQUIRED. If you do not have a MIC you cannot join. Current members must have a working MIC and Voice Chat compatible sound card.

3. Stay in communication: Join and use the X forums, as well as the Facebook page if capable. And follow X Twitter, we may use these channels to announce important events.

4. Respect the chain of command.

5. Respect fellow players and.

6. Always watch X members backs.

7. Participate in all Outfit X missions.

8. Last but not least, have fun.

Black Widow Company, a proud member of the ULTRA Alliance, is looking for players for Planetside 2. Our outfit is run by a large percentage of military veterans and active-duty servicemembers. Because of our member background we prefer to style ourselves a military-style outfit. We use small unit tactics, adapted for Planetside. Our primary focus is air assault heavy infantry and air-mobile rapid response. What a full platoon of other guys can do, we do with a squad.

We require our aspirants to submit an application. Members are expected to maintain a basic level of membership by A) reading/signing our SOP, B) setting up an OpServ account and sticking their FruitSalad banner in their forum signature block, and C) maintaining the Medium Assault certification - every player is a rifleman first. Teamspeak is required whilst playing, squadding up is required when four or more members are on. We don't do the lone-wolf Rambo thing.

Interested recruits may register at the forums and check out the recruiting application. We have a highly-organized structure and a dedicated chain of command. In games we support we perform weekly and nightly operations, and we also support Alliance operations. We use strict comms procedures on Teamspeak (no worrying about idiots chattering idle-BS on TS). For the aspiring member we offer a wide range of training and a promotion points system that negates croneyism and favouritism, a system which is reviewed periodically and adjusted to account for game OPTEMPO. For the glory-hounds we have a Battle Decorations Program that allows members to achieve decorations and awards.

For those seeking to be more than just a guy with an outfit tag, we offer three Task Forces that serve as our special-focus teams. Task Force Ranger is an air assault heavy infantry force. Task Force Commando is an air-mobile light infantry force. Task Force Dragon is our air cavalry/air support team. It is not required to join any of them.

I'm CO of the Air Cavalry Platoon Jet Bastards. We've got 3 Comrade Clan's of different varieties that we're working closely with and are in talks with a Armored Column too. We're extremely organized but that's only once a week, rest of the time we'll be a fair bit more relaxed but still very team focused. And your a Pilot? Good to hear it, so am I (link), I'm also probably the only guy here who can out fly you. If saying that kicked off some of your competitive urges your exactly the sort of man we want.

We don't pack anything that won't fit in a Jet so we can fit you in a role that will suit your Skillset. And if you've got Leadership qualities your welcome to apply for a Squad(/ron) Leader/Sergeant Position and we'll put you on a trial. I'll warn ya though, I'm not gonna play favorites with that, it's whoever is best for the job in Leadership positions.

I think you'll like what you see. We have 4 divisions each specializing in air, infantry, armor and spec ops. Our Aerial Operations Division General is very passionate about how he operates. You can play hardcore or casual. It is all up to you.

As for maturity, I plan on having my infantry form into lines and addressing me as General Arimidex at all times and will punish anyone stepping out of line. Not sure how General Dragoon2160 will operate, but I can assure you efficiency is definitely a part of it. You will be taught the lessons of flying in formation during your training day if you decide to sign up. Either way, good luck soldier.

Crux is always looking for new members! We're a new outfit for PS2 based mostly around air combat. We could always use some galaxy pilots in our formations to wreak true havoc on an enemy base. Combined ops would be a ton of fun as well.

I myself am 18 and I'm just like you; I can't stand little kids. I like to be serious but I like to let loose every once in a while. It is a just a game after all :P

We are not military to the point of no fun, but we do have very organized structure. You wont be hearing: "theres a magrider, and another one, and another one..."
