Why can't I set the joystick for flight?

I can get it to do the whole vtol (vertical take off and landing)and strafing but I can't get it to pitch or bank. Is it a bug or are they just not supposed to work If you know how to make it work please tell me

It's still a little buggy.

More like completely screwed.. I've tried two sticks and can't even assign the buttons.

Doesn't matter much... "flying" in PS is so simplistic you are better off with mouse/keyboard anyway.

Yeah, you cant barrel roll or flip...atleast on purpose I don't think. It's easier to just use your mouse and keyboard bud

yeah i feel it would be like bf 1942.. i mean the joystick helps a little but if you dont have one in that game, no biggy.

Besides im not a "pilot" in bf or in this game. id stick to walking in bf, or that uber jeep. any other vehicle.... no

1. Joystick controls not supported:
There are many joystick commands, buttons and options that are not compatible with Planetside at this time. This is something that we would like to add in the future, but it is not a bug that these commands do not work.

I am a almost always a pilot in BF and i always use the joystick. But for PS i always used the num keys. They work the best for ps while the joystick works the best for pc.

Ya, i hate it when there are noobs who say using the keyboard is better and i shoot them down with them not even knowing what the hell happened. There arent that many pro pilots out there these days.
