Last night was brutal. I mean... what meanie taught the NC on Konreid how to fight?
My hat is off to the NC crew on Hossin last night. I don't think I've ever seen a better co-ordinated assault in game ever. I don't know if they were talkin' to each other, or if it just happened, but the NC created an impressive 3 prong attack that gobbled up bases we fough hard to take. In the end, TR managed to regroup and hold three bases, but the damage was done. 1. NC created a very nice picket line along the ridge to the east of Bitol. They had their phoenix launchers nestled in nice little crevices, these people were covered by snipers and MAXs. Several NC MAXs never advanced, but sat on the ridge line almost as artillery. 2. Three attack points. The NC concentrated their footmen to come down three streams, and in full groups.. never any stragglers. 3. Vehicle assault was the most impressive. I counted 4 Vanguards and two Sunderers. But instead of rushing forward, the drivers kept back and let their gunners sweep up infantry. then they'd pull a little bit forward, rinse repeat. Their concentrated fire and careful approach literally shattered the TR defense. Several times my squad and I would get a sunder and prowler out together, usually a deadly combination, but the NC just sat back and laughed at our feeble attempts to break or flank them. At one point, I had phoenix missiles launching into me as I tried to get a Squad mate in to the gunner slot right off of the VP... Just a brutal night. The NC did a damn nice job of kickin' our butt. Good Job NC.

Yep. I don't know if the TR was outnumbered, or just blown across several far-apart spawn points, but we got our collective asses handed to us last night.
I did, however, shoot down a LOT of reavers. Note to pilots: DO NOT fly at 30% speed, directly over a TR-held base. The striker wouldn't be considered overpowered if there weren't so many of these retarded flyboys around. |

Well Trencher, give that man a beer, he earned it.
To just give everyone an idea how patient and effecient the NC were last night. Tr managed to get 5 tanks a sunder out of base and into combat. Normally this would be devastating. I myself, managed to come in from the south riding along the ridge line. While i ran over everything on the ridge and my gunner pounded behind the lines with the gun. We never made it to the road at the north end. We got hammered by concentrated fire while they ignored the tanks not doing anything. I thought we had them beat, instead, their reinforcements stepped forward and took their places nice and calm like. There were a lot of NC, but they weren't zerging. ugh.. i hope i don't see that again.

Personally, I'd rather tell everyone, so that more people would have an opportunity to come up with a better counterstrategy. Do you by chance work in Microsoft's "critical software vulnerabilities" department? That sounds a lot like security by obscurity to me... |

I was on hossin with my outfit and we were getting the crap kicked out of us, so we didi what any sencible spankee would do, we called big brother. Haveing a cr5 man helped out alot, and there were many good commanders out there who took the time to talk to said cr5 war machine. I counted at least 6 commanders who constantly cept contact with eachother. Having the cr5 there held us together, but it took a few good leaders and many good soldiers to win that battle. Hats off to the tr and vanu boyz who cept us fighting for every inch we got, the fighting on both sides was coordinated and fierce. So dont think the NC got away scott free, it was hard as any fight I've seen.
Thanks Wolf commader of the Blue Dragons outfit Last edited by Wolf199; 2003-06-18 at 02:09 AM. |
