The Ps Community

Is the PS community anything like ths CS community??I have been playing CS for about a year now so im not a new to FPS,But i see alot of this in pubs/scrims."nub,hacker,n00b,awp whore".
So I would like to know is the PS community more mature?And ofcourse I kno that in every game there will be thos a$$ munchers
but as a whole is the CS,communtiy More mature or is it the other way around??

There is no answer to this question. There are people of all maturity levels playing both of these games. For the most part, people tend to be fairly well behaved in PS, because your reputation will follow you for as long as you play a given character.

Nothing is as bad as the cs community. The ps people are for the most part mature. Sure there are some bad ones around from time to time, but not too many. The fact that you have to register your name and Sony can ban you goes a long way to keep people civilized.

Yeah the no changing your name is a great help. There is even a feature allowing to talk to the enemy for taunt/congratualtion purposes, and I've never gotten an immature/flamming/jag off send.

I've gotten a few taunts, but it's all in fun.

All in all I'd say the player base is a bit more mature then the CS base, but as ussual there are a few asshats!

yea...but i dont mean to bash on da cs community.Like me and my Cs clan have for about 5 months now training for CAL the competitive side of CS.There is 1 thing I dont like about Cs pubs.The lack of team work in pubs is horrible.
But from what I read on these forums is great!!!Cant wait to get it.I have been reading every thing on PSU since im sick today and i cant go out to play ball wit my boyz.Well hope to see u guys on the servers!!

Well, the PlanetSide community is far better than CS... No doubt about that. In CS, people flame away at you when you kill them, in PlanetSide, all the 'enemy chat' that I get is strictly congratulatory.

Adding on, PS has some features that set it apart from most of the "CS" style players, you know the ones that want to ruin your day.
2 feautres that discorages this in PS is:
1. Pay per month
2. Grief system

put these 2 together with the chance of getting banned, alot of these kind of people will just stick with other games. This is probably the main reason I started playing PS, due to the amount of online games that have these "n00bs" that get off on ruining your game.
