Lol, it's a Shotgun. Shotguns ARE potent at mid range, but not too potent. The trick to killing somone with a Jackhammer is being out of their line of sight. Weapons like this include the grenade arsenal, thumper, rocklet rifle, bolt driver, or any weapon capable of indirect damage. You hear a Jackhammer (or a large squad)? Take a position around a corner and start with the indirect fire. Yes, a lot of your shots will miss, but you will completely safe from major damage. Most of the Jackhammer whiners are the ones who charge, with no cover at all. Interestingly, they get owned with much more than just the Jackhammer.

) and everytime it was while waiting for a base to hack so our squads could move on and keep kicking VS ass. Oh and I play NC pretty much exclusively. I have TR and VS characters on other servers but those are basically just to see if the whiners have any reason to whine, which most of the time they don't
