I could either spend 500$ upgrading my computer in a few months to play planet side then pay 15$ a month for like a year to play it. Or I could just buy halo 2 in 11 months from now and pay 50$ for a year.
Halo 2 would be cheaper, but would it necessarily be better? Probably. But I really don't know, the graphics engine looks much better, and they're going to have 12 vehicles, but I don't know.

But halo you don't get to meet lots of new interesting people and kill them.

There's the big PvP factor, even though I haven't heard much about Halo 2, you get to fight against hundreds of other real people in PS. That's something you just can't get at in Halo.

You could buy both and have twice the fun though.

Yay my sig works!

this is my opinion.

Halo will get boring unless you have lots of friends to play with.
single player gets fastttt boring. you'll most likely want to get xbox live. so you'll have to pay 70$+ for it. + the 15$a month for access.

now with xbox live you can play other games as well.

PS on the other hand. will last you veryyy long. even longer if you are in a good outfit. PS will have thousands to interact with

so.... i think PS is better :P not only that you can play other games on computer too

and if u want halo 2 fjust for the story just rent it or borrow from a friend lol

Well, if your going to spend $500 just to play Ps, then I wouldnt reocmmend it. But im sure you have lots of other things you like to do on your pc, right?

So you can think of the 500 as a long term investment that will just happens to allow you to play one of the most revolutionary fps of the last decade.

So, if your not doing much with your pc, then stick with the console. If you are, get ps.

Definatly go for PS, upgrading your computer will not just be for PS, but for the hundreds of other games that come out in the next few years(not that u will be playing them all). Of course, im a hardcore PC gamer, and I hate console, so you could say that I'm a little biased....

I dunno. If it is really a tough call for you to choose between Halo 2 and PS, I think you should probably stick with Halo.

Uhhh Guy's Halo is going to support PvP On Xbox live in a BIGGGGGGGG way. Halo2 might just blow away every FPS out there. But I'm still gonna blow the 50 dollars for PS plus 15 a month in subscripstion.

11months vs 3-4 months.

The fact of the matter is people need to upgrade their comps, there are people out there who think the damn things last forever. If your not willing to upgrade on a normal scale then you are not a true PC gamer

I for one am glad that PS isnt going to cater to people who missed the upgrade bus months ago

If you can run Unreal Tournament 2003 just fine, you can probably run Planetside, eh?

Big for consoles maybe. Another walk in the park for a PC gamer.

Look at socom, and the original halo. They were pretty revolutionary for console games. Voice chat, playable over a lan (well...xbox lan. hehe). Halo2 will probably support lots of players, and maybe keep track of player stats or something. Things PC games have been doing for years and years.

whenever you can't decide which you want, get both

Sputty look at some of the screens for Halo2 , Those don't look like a "walk in the park" to me. Listen I Own Halo And I love it, And I also own a expensive PC Which I love also. But If Halo2 comes out and it's 10 times better then PS (which I don't think it will be) Then WHy not buy Halo2? Your Saying HAlo2 Is old news compared to what PC games are doing now But I say PS just might be old news once Halo2 comes out. Halo Was probably THE BEST FPS To come out on any platform last year (In my opinion.) So just see what a differnence 11 months can make and maybe well be playing Halo2 together......or maybe not
