Yeah.. I can't explain it.. But I ran up to a base just now and saw a large blue beam of light.. I thought, oh my damn waypoint is on.. So I go to map.. but i don't have a waypoint on..
Then I look again, and I see electricity flowing up and down the beam, building and expanding out.. Suddently a very large cylender of light came flying down and ended with a large explosion.. Looked like a jammer grenade almost exactly except that the sphere was about the size of the entire base. I wasn't quick enough to get a screenshot of the thing in action but afterwards the blue line was still there. Here's a screenshot.. With a squad waypoint and my "self" waypoint right next to it to prove it's not that. Anyone have any info on this? Who's a CR5 that's played yet?

all command uplink functions now work.
there is no seperate cr4 or cr5 orbital strike. it's only 1. emp blast works. see enemies/friendlies works. from what I can tell, it costs around 4k (a little under) outfit points and a 3 hour re-use timer. the blast area is tight. about 20 meters. all-in-all I'd say they did a good job w/the command functions. u click the uplink, and a menu pops up with the 4 choices and their re-use timer. very nice. |

You cant use the CUD indoors anymore...
At one point, in theory you had to paint the target with the CUD. But from what i understand from squad/outfit mate is you switch to the overhead map and select the point from there. Which makes Waypoints very usefull. EMP makes it so vehicles cant shoot, implants reset, radar goes out, and deployables go boom. But ya first the spiffy Orbital strike waypoint comes down and then BOOOOOM giant blue beam and the electricity going up and down. We used it on ams's mostly.
