Still into T2?

Browsing through the forums i saw something about the new tribes game coming out... looks pretty good.
But besides that, i was able to get my T2 game to work on my new laptop! So if anyone still has it, or still plays, just say so and maybe we can catch up somewhere.

I barely deviate from the classic ctf servers...simply because i can't stand the whole infinite ammo shoot non stop crazy stuff (like renegades in Tribes 1)

The only mod that is anything like what your describing is "ULTRA-Renegade". Its a mod where you got full jetpack, tons of ammo, insta kill weapons, and your weapons fire like 300 rounds a second.

Yeah, it sucks. I agree.

But shifter and meltdown and ninja arent all fuked up like that. The creaters of those mods put a LOT of work into keeping the weapons balanced and the game fun.

Nah i don't think my gaming needs are that desperate yet.

And yeah M you really should try at least Ninja and Renegade(i think) those two are pretty cool. (Ninja has an uber satchel charge that kicks ass )

Isn't it funny how M always sucks us into the Tribes world.

First it was a falshback with the original back when PS beta wasn't even out yet and now T2.

Still playing ladder base CTF, and the occasional pub classic arena.

The BEML (http://www.thebeml.com) is about the only decent CTF ladder we could find, being that TWL is one giant cesspool of server-side cheating and poor sportsmanship.

I imagine that 99% of the non-standard mods are spawned from conversations like:

Dev 1: Wouldn't it be neat if a light could carry a mortar?
Dev 2: ..and it shot straight?
Dev 1: ..and it did even more splash damage?
Dev 2: We're such innovators.

I'm fairly sure that's how renegades started, at least.

What laptop did you buy? I just got a new one as well, and it games very nicely. Haven't tried t2 on it yet though... I don't want to hurt the thing after a week!

So i have a few more people to add to my Buddylist now!

My laptop is the Dell Inspirion 600m with some kinda 64mb graphic card...and...30 gb of stuff...and other things... lol.

I was playing T2 like crazy yesterday... it was fun to catch up with two of my old friends that i haven't seen in a long long time!
T2 is fun, i recommend it... but the best thing is (always) great people to play with.

You might be able to get my to try this meltdown stuff...but i'll probably be a complete noob about it...lol.
