Ive added a Java IRC chat to the forums, (should be above with the other buttons) in case you just cant handle mirc configuration

You can use it as an easy solution. Its "ok"

I also tweaked the link properties to go along with the rest of the site.. please let me know if its a change for the worse ;P

Interesting that that would work, because I have IE set up to automatically refresh everytime I vielw a page. Then again, this wouldn't be the first time one of IE's features didn't work right.

Word to those who may be confused with IRC:
At first it may seem overwhelming, but its actually not that hard, and plus everyone is willing to help. Marsman has set up an amazing Tutorial / FAQ about joining IRC servers.
Plus, things get really interesting in our channels

So its worth the effort to learn.
