diagnostic info in game?

is it possible to view anything like fps or ping etc in game? either using a game setting or using a 3rd party tool?
I would quite like to be able to see whether some of the slowdown I get is due to CPU limiting ( ie reaching 100% util ) latency or the graphics card

You can download fraps99 for your fps. No way to check ping in game though that i know of except to alt tab out and do it from command prompt.

ping isnt *so* important as you can see the ping to other players when you target them ( although I guess this is via the server so you cant really tell if its you or them, but if you consistantly see high pings its probably you LOL )
the one I would be really interested in would be CPU and memory util, although i may resort to recording that in the bacground in a profiler.

the reason is to work out whether some of the problems i have is a cpu or memory bound problem or graphics card, or just part of the game ( slowdowns when lots of people are around, i.e. big battles )

In an NT based OS (2K, XP) do an alt+ctl+del and bring up task manager. Doesn't take up too much memory and gives you (under the preformace tab) a graph of CPU and memory usage, to include swapfile.

yeah, i know about the task manager, i was thinking of something that runs in the background and logs it even.
The problem with alt tabbing etc is that you change the thread and process priorities by doing that, and you would also possibly cause a lot of paging in the virtual memory so you can end up with spurious info...
still it would be worth running it on a slow update and then checking periodically to see what the cpu usage has been like for the l;ast 5 minutes or so I guess.
