Sounds like it might be an issue with your ISP..

You got it, you just didn't know because they hadn't added that screen yet.

With wireless you'll always lose packets unless you're VERY close (and nothing is blocking) to your transmitter.

I got a "wired" network and i get exactly the same problem. Bin emailing SOE and they trying to help at the moment, check your sound drivers first, then make sure ports 1023-12500 are open.
If that fails give them an email...

Cheers

Even an 11b network has plenty of throughtput to handle PS (trust me). In fact, once you get associated with the right access point, try slowing your connection down. Force your card to 5mbps.

The slower speed will help keep you from dropping so many packets.

PS: If you don't think that 54mbps is enough speed, just think about how fast your internet connection is. Even a T1 (1.54mbps) would easily fit into 54mbps.

11b is not 54mb/s, that's 11g...

11b does have enough to handle planetside just fine though, I was just playing.

If it's just home wireless why don't you just plug in instead?

You'll just have to deal with it then... Sending information through walls will always result in a little PL.

Slow your card down to 5 or maybe even 2mbps. The reduced speed turns into increased accuracy in the packets coming through.
