Random vehicle/weapon malfunctions.
Ok, so in normal working condition like running around the sanc, or in a base etc. i.e not doing much there wouldnt be any chance of it going wrong, however in heated battles, depending on the weapon itself, like a jackhammer or striker where you are running around being hit etc. there should be a percentage based probability that the weapon may jam, or something. You would then need a nanite dispenser (the engineer pistol one) to repair it. Also vehicles should suffer problems like reduced power output, broken tracks, full failure of the engine, jams on the weapons. you would need the big engineering gun to repair this then (would make engineering more fun) Weather would also make a big difference, for example a sand storm could cause the smaller mosquito/reaver to take damage, and infiltrators/agile would take damage. Vehicles could also take damage in storms. Dunno, just bored atm and wanted to think of cool ideas.

i always did think it more realistic for guns to jam in weather...like NC and Vanu guns jam in sandstorm(TR has the goggles, they obviously planned for this, so they should have sandstorm immunitiy), NC and TR guns jam in snow, and Vanu and TR jam in rainstorms
adds a little strategy to defending bases and u can plan strikes with the weather in your favor...dont want to attack a vanu base in the snow or a terran base in the desert if theres weather storms coming in |

Weather happens so infrequently that it wouldn't really add much tactical strategy, just an annoyance if you happened to be caught in a storm.
Oh yeah, and those goggles, they are for flying shell casings, not sand. PS: NERF THE WEATHER!!!!!

Oh, speaking of weather, I was fighting in a huge thunderstorm with heavy rain on Amerish/Markov last night and you couldn't hear anything but the rain and lightning. I've gotten so used to relying on sounds to help identify dangers, that it was very disconcerting not to be able to react until you saw the danger. Was easy for people to sneak around and surprise you. Weather can really affect the battlefield in this game, which is nice.

This has got to be one of the dumbest ideas I have ever read. And "true but you wouldnt really die from something happening, unless it jammed while you were running up to assault a base, but then you could repair, if not you could whip out a different gun that is 100% reliable like a supressor or pistol etc" is just behind it.
You would not know if a gun is jamming until you fired it. I don't know about you but I don't waste ammo on nothing. I generally shoot when I am engaging the enemy. And in the middle of combat is not the time to say wait let me unfuck my gun please. As for the original post NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. Ever played America's Army? The gun jams in that game were crap. I don't care to play another game espically one I pay a monthly fee for to have the joy of a gun jam. |

Weather does needs more adverse effects, I.E. NO VEHICLES IN A SANDSTORM! Maybe none of you are car guys, but engines don't run when sand gets into the intake! Another thing nice would be lessened visiblily in storms and things.
