I'm interested in purchasing planetside, but I don't want to make a bad decision.
I played Everquest for 1.5 years so I know how MMORPGs are like and I know how buggy they can be But if you could give me any honest opinions as to why I should or should not purchase it, and things I should look out for. And if I do... is there any select servers/races/stats etc I should avoid or look for? I'm on the west coast of north america. Thanks

Personally, I love Planetside. It takes the FPS genre to a whole new level. Think C&C:Renegade or Tribes2 only better. You can pretty much choose an Empire based on the background or their specific colors, because the game is fairly balanced and will be improved more-so in the next couple of weeks. If you're on the west coast, you'll probably want to play on either Johari or Markov. Markov seems to have more players online during peak hours. Yeah, there are some bugs but I don't doubt they'll be fixed as promptly as possible. Anywho, I think that's about it. Hope to see you in game.

lets see..
Eats up as much memory you have - bad Lag like hell - bad More lag - bad Balance issues - neutrel Some other crap that I'm too tired to thing of - neutral Fun - good It's a sucky game 4/6 of the time, but it's a good game if you get it working good with no lag |
