Realism in Planetside

Hey I'm kinda new to planetside, but want to learn more because it sounds like its going to be an amazing game. I was just wondering how realistic the soldier damage, the vehicle handling, and the vehicle damage is. I don't expect the guys in massive metal armor to drop in only afew shots but I wouldn't like to shoot a guy 100 times to drop him. I'm hoping it will be somethin along the lines of tribes. Someone plz give me some helpful insight.

Hopefully Hamma or anyone else who has actually played it can give you an answer. From what I saw killing infantry, depending on the armor, is pretty realistic in it wont take too many shots but I don't think they'll be very many 1 hit kills in it.

Its not completly realistic, but it doesent take 100 shots to bring someone down. I think its pretty close to realistic.

Armor isnt too easy to take down, and it isnt too hard.. personally I think they have worked out a good balance there..

I'm not going to compare games, then people will get in an uproar. I will just say that its not one shot your dead

Counterstrike aim and damage model would be nice It wouldn't work for the big outdoor battles though, you need way more cover than what it shows in screenshots. Otherwise you'll instantly get a nice lil' headshot everytime you pop your head out in the open

I've played counterstike, but I have to say it's probably healtier to not play it. between the morons and l337 h4x0rz its a very annoying game to play for long.

Thanks for all the replies, that was pretty fast. I think if it was like counterstrike it would be too realistic because the armor they are wearing looks pretty tough. Anyways, hows the vehicle damage? I think good damage on vehicles is important (I didn't really like Halo too much).
