Question 9500pro or 9700 non pro?

Is the ATI 9700 NON-pro better/faster than the ATI 9500 PRO?
I know the 9700pro is faster, but i might spend a few more bucks on the 9700 non pro if it is better. Thanks!

Both have 8 rendering pipelines, but the 9700 has a faster core clock speed. I've been told if you go the ATI route, get the pro cards. Well worth the extra $$.

If I were you, I'd be happy with the 9500pro.

Ok, another question. I can get the 9500 pro for about 180 bucks. Is it worth it to throw in another 80 bucks to get the 9700 pro? And if you can tell me why or why not, that would be great
Thanks again

If you can swing the extra $80, get the 9700Pro. You'll have a nice video card for the next couple of years with no fear of anything coming close to it's performance.

It depends on if you plan on upgrading soon or not and what your current system is... If you have a slower CPU and don't plan on upgrading soon there won't be much benefit in getting the 9700 because it will be slowed down by your cpu.
