Don't know if anyone has posted this to the PS Forum or not, but I an getting pretty PO'd about the SpitFires lately. I don't know why this happens or if it happens anywhere else besides on Konried server. If anyone else has run into this, or has seen this posted to the Devs, let me know. I run into Spitfires that are pointing toward the enms and firing but the shells are coming out at a 90 degree angle from the muzzle and will only shoot at ground level. In other words, A Spitfire will Fire at say a Reavor or mosq and be pointing the muzzles at them but still firing at a 90 degree from the muzzle along the ground. It's like they are all drunk and stupid. I have been shot multiple times by these damn things and it is begining to piss me off.

You are NC. Just pick up a gauss or pheonix. Both of these weapons have a longer range than the spitfire. The pheonix even takes it out in one hit from behind cover!
Edit: This post was confused. I thought he was complaining about them being to strong or something. Last edited by Jaged; 2003-07-07 at 04:27 PM. |

It's happening to people on all servers. Mine have been shooting 90deg. to the left for over a week now.
It's toatlly random though. Some peoples turrets fire properly and then others like you and me have this weird bug for some reason. My Spitefires are totally worthless at the moment. They wind up shooting me more than they shoot the enemy. |

If the target the spitfire is trying to hit is out of its range, the bullets will go 90 degrees away. If the target where to move in range, the bullets would go back to normall. A really annoying bug, but it doesn't affect the killing power of spits at all.
In short, 14

I was just wondering if this was happing to anyone else. I don't personely place the turrents(not a combat eng). But it's like when ever I am near a turrent it is doing this. It like makes them useless cause you never know when they are going to fire at something and shoot you up instead because you are standing on the left side of the turrent. My GF is a combat eng and she places them and has been shot up by her own and the mag mower was about to run her over while she was standing next to the turrent. I don't think this has anything to do with things being out of range. I think they just get bugged every so often which makes them useless and you have just wasted one. Oh well, I guess someone should report this to the devs or something. I can't can't get to the offical site from work. Any assistance on this would be like totally appreciated.

Hmm, I have no troubles with my spitfire turrets at all. I've seen others with that problem though. Perhaps it's a player specific bug? Like for instance, my chars voice has permanently switched from stalwart to the rough&tough set (the first choice I believe) after one of the patch fixes. As well, I can't place my proxy mines outside the top doors and levels of towers. Dunno if I'm the only one, as I've seen proxy mines layed there before.

When it comes to placing mines on the top levels of towers, if there is already a mine placed in front of the door on a lower level, then you will not be able to place one in front of the door on any of the other levels. The same goes for motion sensors and spitefires. The game considers them too close to one another, but you don't get the warning as normal.
