reporting nme ams's

i play a ninja-neer and have done for a total of two days now (but managed bout 20hrs in that time)
and i tend to find quite a few nme ams's on my walks about the countryside. is there any better way to report them than *psst* nme ams nw bout an inch on map of base suchandsuch
i was wondering this because i have just found the /loc command which gives ur coords. u can also do /loc playername so if i call in an ams people do /loc blueskin and get the coords of ams but id there anyway to actaually have the coords displayed on map or nething or to set a waypoint using those coords? plz answer as this is a fairly major tactical problem

Would make it too easy to OS them.

I always thought this was one thing the command structure should handle (rather than giving pointless orders summoning everyone to a one-base lag fest) . /tell a CR4/5 if one is around and let them inform the continent as to the location of the AMS you have found.

I'd like to see a /way command. You put in the coordinates and it slaps down a waypoint wherever you marked.

It's virtually impossible to OS an AMS under a cluster of trees, anyway. If they're out in the open, it's easier to just send reavers after them then worry about OS.

Doesn't require a direct hit, nor is it always the case that it's being covered by trees. Actually, it's pretty rare.

Point is, that eventually everyone will be CR4+, it really isn't very hard. So, in big wars, there would always be someone with their OS available, and announcing exact locations of enemy AMS's over global, or command chat would mean that they could destroy every AMS they found instantly, from a distance, without much effort.

You can protect them from reavers, not from OS's.

Would be too easy in my opinion.

/loc <player name> doesnt work. It'll just give you your coordinates.

OK wait, so lets say you find an nme ams and use /loc to find your coordinates. You tell your SL so he can mark it, but how does he know where the coordinates you told him are, as in reference to the map?

You dont

I still think they should add a grid system for higher CR's

If your squad leader has CR4 for example, everyone on the squad gets grid on their map for easier marking/reporting

"Enemy AMS @ northern part of B25"

The maps should have a grid system and everyone should have access to it.

One command...Reveal all enemies. You can usually bet money that a cluster of enemies is an AMS. Of course, the CR4 Reveal enemies doesn't have that large of a radius, so this is more of a CR5 tactic. Sure, this is a little off topic, but I was trying to make the point that it's already easy enough to find enemy AMS units.
