HA Fix: You move 10% slower with a HA weapon held. I'm sorry, but surging around at top speed with a giant chaingun/shotgun/energy thing doesn't hold much water with me. Up the effectiveness of them as per next patch, but make them perform like actual heavy weapons, not just superior medium assault.
Cloaker Fix: You see all friendly cloakers as if you had darklight on. One less thing (inane TKing) for cloakers to worry about. Thoughts? |

i like the changes, they make sense...The MCG looks like it weighs 50 pounds, and the Jackhammer is so bloated...though maybe they should make the lasher not have a penalty (energy doesnt weigh as much as bullets) because according to SOE we're supposed to be the mobility kings.

I cannot stress how right you are with the HA fix. I groan in real life every time I whip out my MCG, that thing looks like a bitch to lug around. Additionally, you shouldnt slow down when carrying a pistol. It's a pistol.

same with the REK, med applicator, and the repair gun thing that looks like an ear thermometer. Though...it sort of makes sense that you slow down with a pistol. Humans are bipeds, so when they run/walk they stand on one foot at a time with each step, causing a slight imbalance with each step. To counter this, we swing the opposite arm forward to counterbalance the leg stepping forward. This allows us to run at higher speeds, balanced. If someone were to try running very fast with out swinging his arms, he would quickly lose balance and possibly fall (while looking really weird ). When we take out a pistol and hold it straight out in front of us, we lose the ability to run/walk at higher speeds, due to the fact that we are not counterbalancing each of our steps as much.
